Position Overview

As a Staff Accountant, you’ll be an integral part of our accounting team, contributing to a wide range of public practice functions. This role is ideal for someone with a strong academic background in accounting and hands-on experience in bookkeeping or financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements through accurate bookkeeping and accounting.
• Prepare personal and corporate income tax returns.
• Ensure compliance and accuracy in financial records using accounting best practices.
• Collaborate with partners and managers on client engagements and internal projects.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in the CPA program or completion of relevant university courses toward CPA designation.
• Experience with accounting and tax software such as CaseWare, TaxPrep, QuickBooks, and Simply Accounting.
• Familiarity with computerized payroll, bookkeeping, and record-keeping systems.
• Experience preparing T4s and T5s is preferred.
